- Mix the fajita seasoning up to 6 months ahead of time and store in an airtight container in a cool and dry place.
- Chop the onion and peppers up to 3 days ahead of time and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Mince the garlic up to 3 days ahead of time and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Slice and marinate the chicken up to 2 days ahead of time and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Our Favorite Toppings
There are a ton of topping options for chicken fajitas, but some of our favorites are:
- sour cream or crema
- guacamole or sliced avocado
- pico de gallo
- chopped cilantro or cilantro leaves
- roasted tomato salsa
- extra lime wedges to squeeze over the fajitas
Flour or Corn Tortillas?
Our preference for these chicken fajitas are flour tortillas and our absolute favorite ones to use are by Caramelo Tortillas. They make Sonoran style flour tortillas and they’re the best ever! They’re chewy, flavorful and just to die for!
