I love making seasoning blends at home and our Fajita Seasoning is one I find myself grabbing out of the cabinet the most! It’s a very simple and delicious blend of basic spices that most of us already have on hand, the flavors are really bright and vibrant and it takes no time to make at all. You’ll never reach for a store bought fajita seasoning again!

How Long will Fajita Seasoning Stay Fresh?

When stored in an airtight container in a cool and dry place, our fajita seasoning will stay fresh for up to 6 months.

What to use with our Fajita Seasoning

We love this seasoning so much because despite it being called fajita seasoning, it can be used in so many different dishes. We’ve listed some of our favorite ways (aside from fajitas) to use this seasoning below!

    • on grilled or sautéed shrimp – Combine 2 teaspoons oil with 1 teaspoon of seasoning and juice of 1/2 lime. Whisk together. Toss shrimp in mixture and marinate for 30 minutes before cooking.
    • on steaks – Brush steaks with a thin layer of oil. Rub 1 teaspoon steak onto both sides of each steak and lightly season with salt and pepper. Cook steaks in preferred style (grilled, pan seared, etc)
    • on fish – Combine 2 teaspoons oil with 1 teaspoon of seasoning and whisk together. Brush paste onto fish. Cook fish in preferred style (grilled, pan fried, baked, or broiled). Finish each piece of fish with a squeeze or lemon or lime juice.
    • on chicken – Combine 1 1/2 tablespoons oil with 2 1/2 teaspoons of seasoning and juice of 1/2 lime. Whisk together. Toss chicken in mixture and marinate for 1 hour before cooking.
    • on extra firm tofu – press block of tofu with weight for 30 minutes to release excess liquid. Combine 2 teaspoons oil with 1 teaspoon of seasoning and whisk together. slice tofu into 1 inch thick pieces. Brush paste onto each tofu “steak”. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear tofu on each side for 4 to 5 minutes or until browned and crisp around the edges.
    • on vegetables – Combine 1 1/2 tablespoons oil with 2 1/2 teaspoons of fajita seasoning. Toss vegetables (such a broccoli and cauliflower florets, sliced zucchini, sweet potatoes, etc) with seasoning mixture until evenly coated. Spread onto a baking sheet and roast.
