My favorite cocktail is a gin and tonic. Lately, instead of coming home to a beer, it’s been a gin and tonic. Not in a lush kind of way, more in a Mad Men kind of way. It’s nice to have before dinner, and most of all, its perfect for the disgusting heat waves Los Angeles has been having. The good thing about gin and tonics and that the base of the drink is already there: gin, and tonic. You can add pretty much anything you want to this drink and it will be yummy. I add raspberries a lot, sometimes blueberries or basil, and sometimes-just mint. Whatever I have extra of really. This however has been by far my favorite flavor collaboration. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!

Seriously adore your food photography. Are you using Cinemagram for the gifs?
Thank you! I use photoshop to create gifs.
These look delicious. and beautiful!! I want one right now!!
G&Ts were my drink of choice last summer (this summer, rosé or kir, because hard alcohol is super expensive in France). I bet this’d be good with a spoonful of blackberry jam instead of the berries and syrup, for when you can’t get berries anymore.
I could go for four of these right now. YUM!
Stunning drink! And I love the close up of all those little bubbles and the GIF! I want it even more now!
G&Ts are one of my favorite drinks, but I do get sick of plain ones all the time. The berry + lemon combo sounds great!
The colors. The bubbles. Perfect!!
What a beautiful gin & tonic! And I love the fruit as well. I think I’m going to have to look out for blackberries at the farmer’s market this weekend…
This is one seriously beautiful drink. I am not crazy about gin & tonics but with these flavors I may just give them a try!
I’m not the biggest gin and tonic fan either, but these flavors really make this drink special…especially if you can get your hands on some Meyer lemons :)
I would love to try this. I am a huge fan of gin! I’ve not really experimented much with it yet but this looks like the perfect gateway :) thanks for sharing!
these look great!
yummm! your photos are so incredible. i wish i had your skill!!

These look fabulous! I’m assuming you could substitute vodka for gin for those friends who prefer vodka.
Ladies, this looks beyond delicious, and I think I might need something like this immediately. It’s a shame blackberries are scarce in these parts these days!

What are Meyer lemons? In the drink the lemon component simply looks like a lemon.
Meyer lemons are citrus fruits from china that are sort of a hybrid bw Lemons and mandarins…they’re slightly sweeter than regular lemons (they’re amazing). They look like small lemons but with a hint of orange in their skin. They’re pretty common these days and not too difficult to find.
This drink looks absolutely delicious! Makes me thirsty!
i am a G&T fan, this looks fab so i will try it but i may leave out the simple syrup as i am not a sweet fan. thanks for this cool beautiful looking cture.
Good Lord! I just drooled all over my keyboard at work – AGAIN. Every time I visit your blog, it’s the same story… read, drool, read, drool… I look like a Saint Bernard.
Deee-licious and inventive twist on one of my favorite cocktails – can’t wait til 5:00 so I can give this a whirl tonight. Tick-tock, tick-tock..!!!
Oh my goodness! From the first picture I was thinking how delicious this drink looks, but then by the time I got to the last photo, I was simply drooling. Great drink!
I am in love. These are so girly and pretty! I am so having these at my 16th!! xx

I love this gorgeous take on the Gin&Tonic! What beautiful photography too!
I just wondered what ‘simple syrup’ is exactly? I’m from the UK so apologies if this is something everyone knows of in the US. Is it essentially sugar?

Gorgeous and delicious. Gin and tonics are one of my favorite drinks anyway; I feel like this drink could be my new go-to. Can’t wait to try it! Thanks for sharing.
The drink looked so glorious I had to try it. The taste is fabulous but I had to strain it as every time I wanted to take a sip, I got a mouth full of mint and berries. As a solution I put a couple of whole berries and one mint leaf in the bottom of a glass then pour the strained drink over the top. It is fabulous!!!!

Is Simple Syrup something you can buy or make?
You can definitely make it! Simple syrup is just equal parts water and sugar, simmered in a pot until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool completely, then use away!

Hi
This drink looks amazing….I was inspired and drilling by the time i saw the last image, dribbling with bubbles.
I am curious to know what do you mean by simple syrup?
Simple syrup is a 50/50 water and sugar combination. It’s gently simmered together until the sugar has dissolved and is then cooled before being ready to use. Enjoy!

When I saw this on Pinterest, the only thing I was missing was blackberries. A quick trip to the store for dinner items gave me the opportunity to buy some. The drink is delicious! I’m only sad that Meyer lemon season is about over in my area. Can’t wait to have another!
