Sounds like a wonderful experience. Thanks
it looks very nice
Dogs have a super-human sense of smell, but they don’t need to be trained to find truffles and find them with astonishing regularity (relatively speaking)
Hunting truffles now a days is likely becoming a trend not just because of the the variety of culinary use of it but it also comes with a very high price tag. A lot of people would pay extra just to get a hold of a very delicious, delicate, and hard to find truffles. On the question how expensive truffles really are, you can read and watch this article about truffle hunting to learn more here https://www.trufflemagic.com/blog/magic-truffle-hunting/
Hi, gorgeous photos! Cute dogs! I hope this truffle worth it! I’ve never tasted these mushrooms! Thx for sharing!
Thanks so much for sharing this story and the lovely photographs!
This is on my life bucket list! I’ve always wanted to truffle hunt in France, but I might have to update my location to Italy :)
Sounds like a wonderful experience! We weren’t able to go truffle hunting when we were in Tuscany a few years ago, but it’s on the must-do list for when we go back someday!
Delicious. Here in Dordogne we get the black truffle. Sells for about $1000 per kilo. Unfortunately, I do not have any on my property or have not found any. My neighbour does have. Maybe I need a truffle doggie?
